Our wall is done! i can’t believe it is completed! yeah! i will move all the wall posts to the wall page at some point :-)
Mr. Squeakers
One of our other cats, squeakers…beeps for short, has been acting different since Sylvester passed away. He sits in some of the places where Sylvester used to sit and looks slightly worried. Squeakers and Sylvester were buddies, picking on each other and running around the house together. I think squeakers knows whats going on but is in denial…I will really miss besser…so will squeakers.
Sylvester
Rest in Peace Besser-Pooh…we lost one of our poohs today. Sylvester was a cat that Andrea raised from about a day or two old until today. She has been upset lately because he has been sick. He is resting nicely now up in kitty heaven
The Wall
The block-work has begun, the first course is being set. this is the most time-consuming course because if this one is not right, the wall won’t be right!
The Wall
we have a footing! i can’t believe we finally have a footing! i can hear angelic singing in the background. on top of all this, we may have a completed wall by wednesday!
Shots
Well we got our shots for Uganda on Tuesday…OMFG (please note that this is the PG-13 version of this phrase and is read as “oh my fricken gosh”) wow, talk about sore and strange. Everyone except for Jmix had seven shots, Jmix got lucky and only needed four.
Andrea and I experienced an accelerated flu-like illness yesterday. We were not contagious or vomiting. We did however, roll through all the other symptoms in about a four-hour span…it was strange. Hot and flushed…cold and shivers…oh, here come the flushed feeling again…brrr is the air-conditioner stuck on 4!
The Wall
ok, so this is getting crazy. we had to get a building permit because of the height of the wall, now we are having to have a mud footing (in addition to the structure footing) put in which goes to a depth of 30″ needless to say, we are bringing someone in to take care of this. we have zero concrete related skills.
YouVersion
i have been on YouVersion for a couple of years now but this is the first time i have used the site to track my Bible reading. this is an amazing tool. for example, it is the beginning of May and i can see that i have reached 44.7% of my goal to read the Bible in less than a year. i will be happy if i finish Revelation 22:21 before December 31, 2010. i am actually aiming more towards October.
The Wall
well, we are in the middle of a huge yard project that is growing bigger and bigger. here, this should help…
